Nedda is a senior at Pewaukee High School. She started a Science Olympiad team at her school and currently serves as its president. Jason is a junior at WW-P High School North and has participated in Science Olympiad for five years. He mainly competes in building and inquiry events. He's most interested in vehicle events such as Battery Buggy and Gravity Vehicle.

Stephanie Chen
Shady Side Academy
Stephanie’s a current senior at Shady Side Academy. Her interests in Scioly focus around bio, with her favorite event being Fast Facts. In her free time, she loves photography, hiking, and baking. This summer, she managed a team of high school students to advocate for a non-profit organization, Angel’s Wings Children.

Mayur Chhitu
UC Riverside
Mayur’s a rising sophomore majoring in biochemistry at the University of California, Riverside. He has competed in Science Olympiad for two years and continues to show his passion as a Scioly alumnus, volunteering at competitions in events such as Water Quality, Meteorology, and Chemistry Lab. Aside from Science Olympiad, he volunteers in the clinical aspects of different hospitals.

Taylor Chin

Taylor’s a sophomore at the University of California San Diego and majors in Human Biology. He’s been competing in Science Olympiad since middle school and fell in love with it. “I'm excited to be on the other side now to help the Scioly community!”

Brookwood HS
Jiyuan is a freshman at Georgia Tech majoring in aerospace engineering. He competed in Scioly for all of high school and medaled consistently at the state level.

Timothy Elnitiarta
Troy HS
Timothy’s a junior at Troy High School in Fullerton, California. Starting his sophomore year, he competed for Troy and volunteered as assistant tournament director and event supervisor for the Jeffrey Trail Invitational. Tim’s event focus on earth science and physics events, his favorites being Meteorology and Codebusters. “I decided to start volunteering at every opportunity I had because I wanted to provide others with the opportunities to gain interest in the same fields that captivate me as a student and competitor.”

Saakshi Girotra
Parkland HS
Saakshi has been competing for in Science Olympiad team since sixth grade, and is currently going into her senior year of high school. She’s been involved in astronomy events, Codebusters, Write it do it, Wright stuff, and Bio-Process Lab. Besides Scioly, she runs a nonprofit which raises awareness on food wastage. and enjoys painting in her free time.

Vy is a current senior at Cumberland Valley High School and is leading CV Science Olympiad with his coach, Mr. Irvin. He’s participated in Scioly since 7th Grade, consistently medalling in astronomy/geology based events and any needed inquiry events. He designs nature-based origami models in his free time! “SciOly is more than just a competition, it’s about bringing out people’s potential for STEM in a fun, supportive environment.”

Megan is majoring in molecular and cellular biology and minoring in music. She’s done Science Olympiad for 7 years and captained two teams and co-founded one. Her favorite events are Forensics, Experimental Design, Protein Modeling, and Towers. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors, reading, and eating food.

Joey has been competing in Science Olympiad team since 7th grade. He loves build events, especially Ping Pong Parachute.

This will be Lindsey’s tenth year involved with Scioly, and her fourth as a B/C competitor. She’s a Junior Captain at Solon HS Scioly, and competes in a mix of study/build events including Codebusters, Detector Building, Circuit Lab, and GeoLogic Mapping.

Aarush's a senior at Ward Melville High School and has competed in Scioly for four years. After graduating, he plans to study biology and psychology. He enjoys playing violin and plans to continue it in college.

Milap Mistry
Cumberland Valley HS
Milap has had a passion for Science Olympiad since he joined in eighth grade, earning a number of medals over the years. In his free time, he loves to play sports, especially basketball, and hang out with friends. In the future, he hopes to be a neurosurgeon or cardiothoracic surgeon. Other organizations he’s affiliated with or has volunteered for include Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital, the Hershey Medical Center, and the Penn State PULSE program.

Viresh’s a sophomore at Solon High School and has competed at nationals for Division B in physics and chemistry events. Besides Scioly, he does speech and debate.

Sasha Murray

Sasha joined Scioly this past season. She likes biology, especially molecular biology and genetics. Aside from Scioly, she’s a pianist and swimmer.

Danika's events in Science Olympiad include Engineering and Bio/Chem events, with her favorite being Forensics. For the upcoming year, she’ll be serving as the president of her team. Besides that, she’s passionate about music and loves to collab with others in her free time. "I love helping others pursue their interests, and want to do as much as I can to make an impact!"

Caitlin has competed in Codebusters, Detector Building, Fossils, Dynamic Planet, and Water Quality. Apart from Scioly, she plays for her school's golf and soccer team. “Science Olympiad has been one of my favorite parts about high school and I can’t wait to help others grow their knowledge in these events!”

Brett Russotto
Cumberland Valley HS
Brett’s in boy scouts and has earned the rank of life scout. He loves taking walks to be outside in nature, bird watching, herping (looking for reptiles and amphibians), and going on explorations to creeks and lakes to test the water quality. Over his two years of Science Olympiad, he’s earned 21 medals and competed in six different events. His favorite events include water quality, ornithology, herpetology, dynamic planet, green generation, and environmental chemistry. When Brett graduates high school, he plans on going to college to study marine biology.

Nick’s from New York with an interest in geology. He also enjoys studying forensics and fossils.

Benjamin Snitzer

Benjamin is an incoming freshman at the University of Washington looking to major in Computer Engineering. In the future, he hopes to be a Computer Hardware Engineer with a focus on heterogeneous systems research. “I am volunteering for Sciolympiad because SO was by far my favorite thing during high school and I’ve found a passion for the sciences as a result of it. All in all, I’m super excited to work with Sciolympiad to help prepare everyone for this coming season.”

Kiran is a biochemistry major at UT Austin. He competed in Science Olympiad throughout high school, earning more than twenty medals at the local and state levels. As an experienced alumnus, he finds it enjoyable to help others through the same challenges he faced. Kiran serves a role in ATX Science Olympiad's outreach committee, working to expand access in STEM. His hobbies include digital art and working out.

Sarah Wheeler
John Adams HS
Sarah is a senior IB Diploma Candidate at John Adams High School in South Bend, Indiana. Currently, she has a total of eight medals in Disease Detectives (3), Machines (3), Ping-Pong Parachute, and Sounds of Music. She’s a member of her school’s National Honors Society, Quiz Bowl, and French Club. Outside of school, she’s a cellist in the South Bend Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Jeff Xie
Columbia University
Jeff graduated from Columbia University in 2019 with an astrophysics degree and a computer science concentration. He now lives in Houston where he works at the Johnson Space Center, volunteers for Texas tournaments, and writes tests for competitions throughout the country. Jeff has competed in Science Olympiad for four years in high school, competing in mainly Astronomy and GeoLogic Mapping. He likes to watch sports, especially basketball, baseball, and tennis. “I'm volunteering for Sciolympiad because I want to give back to the Science Olympiad community. I completely understand being confused at studying for Science Olympiad events, and so I want people to be as prepared as possible entering the new school year.”
